FAQ
What is the difference between normal and impacted tooth removal?
An impacted tooth is a tooth that has not erupted, in most cases, it is wisdom teeth. Their eruption may be hindered by a lack of space in the dentition or atypical position. Those which are not erupted because of lack of eruptive force are called embedded. During the removal of impacted or embedded teeth, a micro-invasive operation is performed, the procedure is painless; local anaesthesia during the procedure eliminates the pain.
Is wisdom teeth removal really necessary?
The answer to this question can only be given by the doctor after an examination and according to a CT scan or panoramic X-ray. Usually, the wisdom tooth may not be extracted if it does not cause any pain or put pressure on the neighbouring teeth, which can further lead to tooth misalignment and impair the aesthetic smile appearance.
Can I get all my wisdom teeth removed at once?
Theoretically it is possible, but will the patient feel comfortable for the next weeks while the places of extractions are healing? It also depends on the complexity of the situation and the position of the teeth in the jaw. If there is such a need, we can offer extraction of all wisdom teeth at once using sedation (sleep).
Is wisdom tooth removal painful?
No, the removal process itself takes place under local anesthesia, and the doctor comments on all his actions. However, the healing period of the extracted tooth cavity can be somewhat uncomfortable.
What is included in the cost of implant placement?
The total cost consists of the cost of the implant itself as well as the work of the dentist. In the case of classical implantation, when the patient’s bone is sufficient for its placement, the cost of the procedure will include the price of the implant and its placement with anesthesia. If the clinical situation requires additional interventions, the cost of the procedure may vary.
What is the best option for patients with insufficient bone mass to support a dental implant?
We offer to fix the problem of insufficient bone density using different bone-grafting techniques. The doctor places a donor bone graft into the area of bone deficiency before implant placement. It serves as a scaffold for new bone cells to grow upon the area of implant placement.
Do you perform All-on-4 dental implants? Is it reliable?
The “All-on-4” implant protocol offers a solution and suitable for patients with jawbone loss. This procedure has a high success rate, for many people, it works well, and the result lasts for decades. All on 4 can completely restore an entire row of teeth in one day with the help of an implant-supported non-removable denture.
What is the success rate of dental implants?
In the absence of contraindications, modern implantation protocols make it possible to achieve almost 100% favorable results after surgery. We use premium implant systems that minimize the risks of implant failure.
Can I get an implant and crown placed on the same appointment?
Theoretically it is possible, but it all depends on the specific clinical case. The doctor will be able to make this decision only after a thorough examination and CT of the jaw.
Is it viable to restore the dentition in the shortest possible time?
Yes, it is viable. Basal implantation is convenient for the complete restoration of the dentition. This procedure requires placing from 3 to 10 implants on one jaw. This type of implantation is suitable for elderly patients with complete toothless jaw or problems with bone tissue, and for patients who suffer from severe periodontal disease; diabetes, or severe smoking.
